It is situated in the Rhine-Neckar Metropolitan Region, approximately 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) southeast of Heidelberg. The addition "(Rhein-Neckar)" serves to distinguish it from other places named Wiesenbach.

Wiesenbach lies in the Elsenz valley, nestled between the southern foothills of the Odenwald forest and the northern edge of the Kraichgau region.
