Wendy Watson (cricketer)

Wendy Watson is a former English international cricketer who represented the England women's cricket team from 1976 to 1988. Primarily a right-handed batter and a right-arm medium-fast bowler, she was a key all-rounder for England during her career.

Watson made her Test debut in 1976 and her One Day International (ODI) debut in 1977. Over her career, she played in 12 Women's Test matches and 23 Women's One Day Internationals. She scored over 400 runs in Tests and over 300 runs in ODIs, also taking a number of wickets in both formats. Watson notably captained England in some of her later appearances, leading the team in both Test and ODI matches. Her career spanned a significant period of women's cricket development, and she was a consistent performer for the national side.
