Wendell Tucker (August 3, 1943 – June 18, 2015) was an American professional football player who played as a wide receiver in the American Football League (AFL) and the National Football League (NFL).
Early life and education
Tucker was born in Meridian, Mississippi. He attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he played college football for the Southern Miss Golden Eagles.
Professional career
Tucker was selected by the Boston Patriots in the 12th round of the 1965 AFL Draft. He played for the Patriots during the 1965 and 1966 seasons. Following his tenure with Boston, Tucker had brief periods on the rosters of the Buffalo Bills and the New York Giants, appearing in NFL games in the late 1960s and early 1970s.
