Welland was an electoral ward within the former Kettering Borough Council in Northamptonshire, England. It served as a geographical division for the purpose of local government elections, enabling residents within its boundaries to elect councillors to represent them on the borough council.
The ward was named for its proximity to, or association with, the River Welland, which forms part of the natural landscape in the broader region. As a component of Kettering Borough, Welland Ward contributed to the overall governance structure of the area, with its elected representatives participating in decisions concerning local services such as planning, housing, waste management, and leisure facilities.
Kettering Borough Council ceased to exist on 1 April 2021, as part of a wider local government reorganisation in Northamptonshire. Its functions and geographical area, including the former Welland Ward, were subsequently integrated into the new unitary authority, North Northamptonshire Council. While the area previously encompassed by Welland Ward continues to be a residential and geographical entity, the specific electoral division under the Kettering Borough Council framework no longer operates in its original form for local political representation. Electoral arrangements for the area are now determined by the structure of North Northamptonshire Council.
