Weevil was an American alternative rock band active in the late 1990s. Known for their energetic sound and connection to the Grohl family, the band released one self-titled album before disbanding.
History
Weevil formed in Los Angeles, California, in the late 1990s. The band's lineup included Lisa Grohl, sister of Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, which garnered them some initial attention. They were signed to RCA Records.
In 1999, Weevil released their debut and only album, Weevil. The album featured a blend of alternative rock, punk, and power pop influences. Despite the industry buzz surrounding Lisa Grohl's connection, the band did not achieve widespread commercial success and was relatively short-lived, disbanding sometime after the album's release.
