Warner & Sons

Warner & Sons was a British textile and carpet manufacturer headquartered in the Spitalfields area of London. Established in the 19th century, the firm initially specialized in the production of silk fabrics, catering to both domestic and institutional markets. Over time, Warner & Sons expanded its product range to include hand‑knotted and woven carpets, which were recognized for their craftsmanship and were employed in a number of prominent interior‑design projects, exhibitions, and public buildings in the United Kingdom.

The company’s output reflected contemporary design trends while maintaining traditional weaving techniques. Warner & Sons remained active through much of the 20th century before ceasing operations in the latter part of that period.

References to Warner & Sons appear in historical accounts of British textile manufacturing and in records of major art and design exhibitions of the early to mid‑20th century.
