WWLS-FM

WWLS-FM, known on-air as "The Sports Animal," is a commercial radio station licensed to The Village, Oklahoma, serving the Oklahoma City metropolitan area. Broadcasting on 98.1 FM, it operates as a sports talk format station. The station is owned by Cumulus Media and its studios are located in Northwest Oklahoma City, with its transmitter situated in the northeast part of the city.

WWLS-FM primarily broadcasts local sports talk programming, covering professional and collegiate sports with a particular focus on Oklahoma-based teams. It also carries national sports programming, including broadcasts from its sister station, WWLS (640 AM), and occasionally features play-by-play coverage of various sporting events.

The station began broadcasting in 1982 as KAEZ, featuring an adult contemporary format. Over the years, it underwent several format changes and call sign alterations, including KNOR. It adopted the WWLS-FM call sign and its current sports talk format in the mid-1990s, becoming a prominent voice in sports radio for the Oklahoma City market. Its sister station, WWLS (640 AM), also shares the "Sports Animal" branding and carries much of the same programming.
