Wýaçeslaw Nikolaýewiç Krendelew (Russian: Вячесла́в Никола́евич Кренделёв; born 24 July 1982) is a former Turkmenistani footballer who currently coaches at ZFK CSKA Moscow. He played as an attacking midfielder and forward.
Early life and background
Krendelew was born on 24 July 1982 in Ashgabat, Turkmen SSR (present-day Turkmenistan). He stands 1.84 m (6 ft 0 in) tall.
Club career
Krendelew began his senior career in Turkmenistan, playing for Galkan Asgabat (2000–2002) and Nisa Asgabat (2003), where he scored 8 goals in 17 league appearances in the Ýokary Liga. He then moved abroad, joining FC Taraz of the Kazakhstan Premier League (2004–2006), where he made 79 league appearances and scored 12 goals.
In 2007, he signed with FC Terek Grozny of the Russian Premier League, making 36 league appearances and scoring 3 goals. He joined FC Amkar Perm in 2008 but failed to break into the first team, spending the season with the reserves. He was loaned to FC Metallurg Lipetsk of the Russian First Division in 2009, where he scored 5 goals in 33 league appearances.
Subsequent clubs included FC Baltika Kaliningrad (2010), FC Luch-Energiya Vladivostok (2011–2012 and 2013–2016), and FC SKA-Energiya Khabarovsk (2012–2013). Over his career, he recorded 334 league appearances and 33 league goals across all clubs.
International career
Krendelew represented the Turkmenistan national team from 2004 to 2011, earning 15 caps and scoring 2 goals. His international goals came against Afghanistan (2–0 in a 5–0 win) during the 2008 AFC Challenge Cup on 1 August 2008, and against Indonesia (1–0 in a 1–1 draw) during 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification on 23 July 2011.
Coaching career
Following his playing career, Krendelew transitioned into coaching and currently serves as a coach at ZFK CSKA Moscow, a women's football club.
