Description
Like other members of the genus Volvarina and the family Marginellidae, Volvarina torresina possesses a small, smooth, and highly polished shell. The shell is typically fusiform (spindle-shaped) to cylindrical-ovate in shape, often reaching only a few millimeters in length. Its surface is typically glossy, lacking prominent sculpture. The aperture is narrow, extending nearly the full length of the shell, and the outer lip is usually thickened. The columella (the central axis of the shell) typically bears several distinct folds or plicae. The coloration is often simple, ranging from translucent white to cream, though subtle banding or markings can sometimes be present.
