Early life and education
Vladimir Vladimirovich Gabulov was born on 5 March 1983 in Ordzhonikidze (now Vladikavkaz), Russian SFSR, Soviet Union. He began playing football in his hometown, joining the youth academy of FC Alania Vladikavkaz.
Club career
Gabulov’s professional career as a goalkeeper spanned more than fifteen years, during which he played for a number of clubs in the Russian Premier League:

During his tenure at Spartak Moscow, Gabulov became the first-choice goalkeeper and helped the team secure a Russian Cup victory in the 2007‑08 season. He later contributed to FC Krasnodar’s rise as a regular contender in domestic competitions.
International career
Gabulov earned ten caps for the Russia national football team between 2008 and 2012. He was selected for the Russian squad at UEFA Euro 2012 but did not appear in a tournament match. His debut came in a friendly against the United States on 19 November 2008.
Post‑playing career
After retiring from active play in 2019, Gabulov transitioned to football administration. He was appointed sporting director of FC Krasnodar, where he has been involved in player recruitment, contract negotiations, and youth development strategy.
Personal life
Gabulov is of Ossetian heritage. Outside of football, he has been associated with charitable initiatives in his native North Ossetia‑Alania, focusing on youth sports programs.
