Vladimír Zedník (born February 14, 1978) is a Czech former professional ice hockey forward. He is best known for his extensive career primarily in the Czech Extraliga, the top-tier professional ice hockey league in the Czech Republic, as well as playing in various other European leagues and briefly in North America.

Playing Career Zedník began his professional ice hockey career in the mid-1990s within the system of his hometown club, HC Kometa Brno, progressing from their junior teams to the senior squad in the Czech leagues. His early career established him as a reliable forward with offensive capabilities.
In the late 1990s and early 2000s, Zedník ventured to North America, playing in several minor professional leagues. He suited up for teams like the Long Beach Ice Dogs in the International Hockey League (IHL), the Worcester IceCats in the American Hockey League (AHL), and the Augusta Lynx in the ECHL. Although he did not reach the National Hockey League (NHL), this experience in highly competitive North American leagues contributed to his development.
Upon his return to Europe, Zedník became a well-traveled player, making significant contributions across numerous clubs and leagues. His longest and most impactful tenures were in the Czech Extraliga, where he played for clubs such as HC Slezan Opava, HC Vsetín, HC Energie Karlovy Vary, and HC Olomouc. Throughout his career in the Czech Extraliga, he was consistently a productive scorer and playmaker.
Beyond the Czech Republic, Zedník also had stints in other European countries, including Slovakia (HK 36 Skalica), Sweden (VIK Västerås HK), the United Kingdom (Belfast Giants), Germany (Lausitzer Füchse), and France (Ducs d'Angers, Boxers de Bordeaux). His professional career spanned over two decades before he retired from professional play around 2018.
While Vladimír Zedník did not feature prominently on the international stage for the Czech national team at major tournaments, his longevity and consistent performance across multiple professional leagues attest to his skill, dedication, and value as a hockey player over a substantial career.
