Ville Tikkanen (footballer)

Ville Tikkanen (born 8 June 1999) is a Finnish professional footballer who plays as a centre-back for Veikkausliiga club SJK.

Career

Tikkanen began his youth career with local clubs before joining the academy of HIFK. He made his senior debut for HIFK in the Veikkausliiga, the top tier of Finnish football, in 2017. He quickly established himself as a promising young defender, known for his physicality and aerial ability.

In 2021, Tikkanen moved to FC Lahti, where he continued to develop his game. He became a regular starter for the club, contributing to their defensive solidity. His performances earned him a move to SJK (Seinäjoen Jalkapallokerho) in 2023, where he has since been a key part of the team's defense in the Veikkausliiga.

Throughout his career, Tikkanen has made over 100 appearances in the Veikkausliiga, establishing himself as a reliable presence in the Finnish top flight.

International Career

Tikkanen has represented Finland at various youth international levels, including the Under-19 and Under-21 teams. He has yet to receive a call-up to the senior Finland national team.
