Ville Taulo

Ville Olavi Taulo (born 14 August 1985 in Lahti, Finland) is a Finnish former professional footballer who played as a midfielder.

Early life and youth career
Taulo began his football development with the youth academy of Reipas Lahti, a club based in his hometown.

Senior club career
Taulo made his professional debut with FC Lahti in 2003 and remained with the club until 2007, accumulating 98 league appearances and scoring 10 goals in the Veikkausliiga. In 2008 he transferred to Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (HJK), where he featured in 29 league matches. A brief loan spell at Klubi 04 followed in 2009.

In January 2010 Taulo signed a three‑and‑a‑half‑year contract with Italian Serie C side Taranto. He made five league appearances for Taranto before being loaned to Swiss Super League club AC Bellinzona, where he played three matches. In April 2012 he returned to FC Lahti on a short‑term loan, adding nine league appearances.

Later in 2012 Taulo joined Norwegian First Division side Alta IF, appearing in five matches. He returned to Finland in 2013 to sign for HIFK, where he remained until 2016, recording 37 league appearances and three goals across the Kakkonen, Ykkönen and Veikkausliiga divisions. He later featured for lower‑tier clubs PPJ (2021) and HIFK II (2017). Over his career, Taulo amassed a total of 195 league appearances and 15 goals.

International career
Taulo earned four caps for the Finland national team between 2005 and 2008, without scoring.

Retirement
Following his stint with PPJ in 2021, Taulo retired from professional football.
