Viktor Sukhikh

Viktor Viktorovich Sukhikh (Russian: Виктор Викторович Сухих; born October 29, 1957) is a Russian politician who has served as the Chairman of the Legislative Assembly of Perm Krai (also known as the State Council of Perm Krai) since October 2011. He is a member of the United Russia party.

Biography

Sukhikh was born in Perm, Soviet Union. He graduated from the Perm Polytechnic Institute in 1980 with a degree in mechanical engineering.

His career began in the industrial sector, working at various enterprises in Perm. He later transitioned into public and political activities.

Political Career

Viktor Sukhikh's political career began in the local self-government structures of Perm Oblast (now Perm Krai).

  • 1997-2000: Served as a deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Perm Oblast.
  • 2000-2001: Held the position of Mayor of Perm.
  • 2001-2006: Returned to the Legislative Assembly of Perm Oblast as its Chairman.
  • 2006-2011: Following the formation of Perm Krai, he was elected as a deputy to the Legislative Assembly of Perm Krai.
