Viachaslau Shumak

Viachaslau Shumak (born December 22, 1988) is a Belarusian professional handball player who plays as a pivot for HC Meshkov Brest and the Belarus national team.

Shumak is noted for his long-term association with HC Meshkov Brest, having joined the club's senior team in 2006. Throughout his career, he has served as the team captain and has become one of the most decorated players in the history of the Belarusian Championship. Under his leadership and participation, the club has secured numerous domestic titles in the Belarusian First League and the Belarusian Cup. He has also represented the club in major international club competitions, including the SEHA League and the EHF Champions League.

On the international stage, Shumak has been a regular member of the Belarus men's national handball team. He has participated in several high-profile tournaments, including the IHF World Men's Handball Championship and the EHF European Men's Handball Championship. He is recognized for his defensive capabilities and his role as a line player in offensive sets.
