Veth Rathana (born 1986) is a former Cambodian actress who gained prominence in the mid-2000s, with her active career spanning from approximately 2003 to 2007. She was among the most successful Cambodian actresses of the 2000s, alongside contemporaries such as Danh Monika, Keo Pich Pisey, Sim Solika, and Suos Sotheara.
Early Life
Veth Rathana was born in 1986 in Phnom Penh, then part of the People's Republic of Kampuchea (present-day Cambodia).
Career
Rathana's acting career began in the early 2000s and she quickly rose to popularity in the Cambodian film industry. She appeared in a variety of film genres, including action, drama, horror, comedy, romance, and adaptations of traditional Khmer folk tales. Notable films include 3 Ace (2004), Vengeance (2005), Domrei Kbal 3 Kundung Sam Pon (Three-Headed Elephant, 2006), and Kun Chang Kun Paen (2007). She frequently worked opposite actors such as Eng Rithy, Sok Sophea, and Heng Bunleap.
Personal Life
In 2006, Rathana married Tuk Vandy. In 2007, she relocated to the United States with her husband. Her departure from Cambodia coincided with a downturn in the Cambodian film industry.
