Vemasse, officially Vemasse Administrative Post (Portuguese: Posto Administrativo de Vemasse; Tetum: Postu administrativu Vemasi), is an administrative post (formerly a subdistrict) in Baucau municipality, Timor-Leste (East Timor). Its seat or administrative centre is the town of Vemasse.
Geography
Vemasse Administrative Post covers an area of 358.5 km² (138.4 sq mi). It is located in the northern part of Baucau municipality, along the coast of the Wetar Strait. Its coordinates are approximately 8°31′S 126°13′E.

The administrative post is subdivided into seven sucos (villages):

- Ostico
- Uaigae
- Uato-Lari
- Vemasse
Demographics
According to the 2015 census, Vemasse Administrative Post had a population of 9,643, with a population density of approximately 26.90 inhabitants per km². The total number of households recorded in 2015 was 1,817.
Administration
Vemasse was formerly classified as a subdistrict of Baucau municipality. In 2014, Timor-Leste reorganized its administrative divisions, renaming subdistricts to administrative posts under Ministerial Diploma No. 24/2014. The administrative post operates within the UTC+09:00 time zone (Timor-Leste Time, TLT).
