Velimir Jovanović

Velimir Jovanović (Serbian Cyrillic: Велимир Јовановић; born 18 February 1987) is a Serbian professional footballer who plays as a forward.

Career

Born in Smederevska Palanka, Jovanović began his football career in the youth system of FK Partizan, one of Serbia's most prominent clubs. He subsequently moved to FK Teleoptik, Partizan's affiliated club, where he gained senior experience.

Jovanović's professional career saw him play for numerous clubs across Serbia. He made his senior debut with FK Mladi Radnik and went on to feature for several teams in the Serbian SuperLiga, including FK Spartak Subotica, FK Novi Pazar, FK Jagodina, FK Borac Čačak, FK Radnik Surdulica, FK OFK Bačka, and FK Radnički Niš. He was known for his journeyman career, frequently moving between clubs in the top two Serbian divisions.

He also had experience playing abroad. In 2012, Jovanović briefly joined AEL Limassol in the Cypriot First Division. Later, during the 2015-2016 season, he played for Alemannia Aachen in Germany.

Throughout his career, Jovanović established himself as a reliable goalscorer and an experienced presence in Serbian professional football. In his later career, he continued to play for various clubs, including FK Radnički Pirot, FK Trayal, and FK Jedinstvo Paraćin, maintaining his active involvement in the sport into the 2020s.
