Vandans railway station (German: Bahnhof Vandans) is a railway station serving the municipality of Vandans in the Bludenz district of the Austrian federal state of Vorarlberg. It is located on the Bludenz–Schruns railway line and is owned and operated by the Montafonerbahn (MBS).
Location
The station is situated at Bödenweg, 6781 Vandans, Austria, at coordinates 47°05′54.8″N 09°52′7.1″E. It lies approximately 1.2 km (0.75 mi) from the valley station of the Golmerbahn, a cable car providing access to the Mattschwiz and Golmer Joch areas.
History
The station opened in 1905, coinciding with the opening of the Bludenz–Schruns railway line.
Services
As of the December 2023 timetable change, Vandans railway station is served by the Vorarlberg S-Bahn S4 service, which operates at half-hourly intervals between Bludenz and Schruns. The preceding station towards Bludenz is St. Anton im Montafon, and the following station towards Schruns is Kaltenbrunnen.
Ownership and operation
The station is owned and operated by the Montafonerbahn (MBS), a private railway company that operates the Bludenz–Schruns line.
