Valeri Viktorovich Chetverik (Russian: Валерий Викторович Четверик; born 11 August 1964) is a Russian professional football coach and former player. He played primarily as a defender during his career.
Career
Chetverik began his playing career in the early 1980s, primarily in the Soviet Second League. He is most notable for his spells with clubs like Dynamo Stavropol, FC Zhemchuzhina Sochi, and FC KAMAZ Naberezhnye Chelny. With Zhemchuzhina Sochi and KAMAZ Naberezhnye Chelny, he played in the Russian Top League (later Russian Premier League) during the 1990s, the highest tier of Russian football, gaining significant experience at the professional level. His career spanned several clubs across different divisions of Soviet and later Russian football.
After retiring as a player, Chetverik transitioned into coaching. He has held various coaching roles, including head coach and assistant coach positions, for a number of Russian clubs, predominantly in the lower professional leagues. His coaching career has seen him manage teams such as FC Dynamo Bryansk, FC Avangard Kursk, FC Mordovia Saransk, and FC Salyut Belgorod, among others. He is known for his extensive experience in Russian football, both on and off the field.
