VPB-207

VPB-207 was a United States Navy Patrol Bombing Squadron that operated during World War II. Officially established on September 15, 1944, it was redesignated from VB-103. The squadron was equipped with the PB4Y-1 Liberator aircraft.

VPB-207 conducted anti-submarine warfare patrols in the Atlantic Theater. It operated primarily in the Caribbean Sea and along the eastern seaboard of the United States, seeking to locate and destroy German U-boats threatening Allied shipping lanes.

The squadron was disestablished on June 15, 1945. Its brief operational history was focused on a specific wartime mission, contributing to the broader Allied effort against the Axis powers in the Atlantic. Following the end of the war in Europe, its services were no longer required.
