Urs Bühler (born 19 August 1971) is a Swiss tenor best known as a member of the classical crossover vocal group Il Divo. Born in Basel, Switzerland, he pursued formal musical training at the Zurich University of the Arts (formerly Hochschule für Musik Zürich) and subsequently at the Royal College of Music in London, where he earned a Master of Music degree in vocal performance.
Bühler began his professional career as a soloist in opera and concert settings, performing repertoire ranging from Baroque to contemporary works. In 2004, he was selected to join Il Divo after an audition process orchestrated by the group’s founder, music producer Simon Cowell. With Il Divo, Bühler has contributed to multiple platinum‑selling albums, extensive world tours, and televised performances that blend operatic technique with popular music arrangements.
