Ultraman Taiga The Movie (劇場版 ウルトラマンタイガ ニュージェネクライマックス, Gekijō-ban Urutoraman Taiga Nyū Jene Kuraimakkusu), also known as Ultraman Taiga The Movie: New Generation Climax, is a 2020 Japanese superhero kaiju film directed by Ryuichi Ichino. It serves as both the sequel and film adaptation of the 2019 Ultra Series television series Ultraman Taiga.
Release History
The film was originally scheduled for release in Japanese theaters on March 6, 2020, but was withdrawn at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. After Japan lifted its state of emergency, the film was given a new release date of August 7, 2020. It was produced by Tsuburaya Productions and distributed by Shochiku, with a running time of 72 minutes.
Premise
E.G.I.S. member Hiroyuki Kudo has the ability to transform into any of the three members of the Tri-Squad—Ultramen Taiga, Titas, and Fuma—as their bond has deepened through each battle. However, Hiroyuki becomes the target of an unidentified opponent, prompting other members of the New Generation Heroes to appear one after another to challenge a great darkness. Additionally, Taiga's father, Ultraman Taro, arrives on Earth but attacks his own son under mysterious circumstances.

Production
The film was announced on December 15, 2019, at Tokyo Dome City during Tsuburaya Productions' Tsubucon event. It features the return of multiple New Generation Heroes from previous Ultra Series installments, including Ultraman Ginga, Victory, Orb, Geed, Rosso, Blu, and Grigio.
