Typhoon (1933 film)

Typhoon is a 1933 American pre-Code adventure film directed by Louis King. The film stars Dorothy Lamour in her film debut (billed as Dorothy Kaumuela), Robert Armstrong, and Charles Bickford. The plot centers on a young woman living on a South Sea island who becomes involved in a love triangle with two American sailors, complicated by a brewing typhoon. The film is notable for featuring early Technicolor sequences. While not a major critical success at the time, Typhoon offered exotic locales and adventure, common themes in films of that era.
