Two River Theater is a professional not-for-profit regional theater company located in Red Bank, Monmouth County, New Jersey, United States. Established in 1994 by Robert Rechnitz and his wife, Joan Rechnitz, the theater is dedicated to producing a diverse repertoire of plays and musicals, encompassing world premieres, American premieres, and revivals of classic works. The company operates out of a purpose-built facility that opened in 2005. The building houses two primary performance spaces: the Rechnitz Theater, a proscenium stage with approximately 350 seats, and the Marion Huber Theater, a flexible black box space. As a member of the League of Resident Theatres (LORT), the largest professional theater association in the United States, Two River Theater operates under a LORT B contract, signifying its commitment to professional standards and union agreements.
