Trafford F.C.

Trafford Football Club is an English semi-professional football club based in Shawe Heath, Greater Manchester. The club was founded in 1990 as North Trafford F.C. and adopted its current name in 1993. Nicknamed "The Shawe Heath Blues" or simply "The Blues," they play their home matches at Shawe View.

History Trafford F.C. was established in 1990 and initially competed as North Trafford, joining the Manchester League Division One. Their early success saw them win promotion to the Premier Division in their debut season. In 1992, the club was admitted to the North West Counties Football League (NWCFL) Division Two. A year later, in 1993, they rebranded to Trafford F.C. to better reflect their geographical area.

The club quickly progressed through the NWCFL ranks. They achieved promotion to NWCFL Division One at the end of the 1994–95 season and subsequently won the NWCFL Division One title in the 1996–97 season, earning promotion to the Northern Premier League (NPL) Division One.

Trafford spent a significant period in the NPL, experiencing both promotions and relegations. A notable achievement came in the 2012–13 season when they won the Northern Premier League Division One North Play-off Final, securing promotion to the Northern Premier League Premier Division, the highest level the club has reached in the English football league system. They spent two seasons in the Premier Division before being relegated back to Division One North.

Ground Trafford F.C. plays its home games at Shawe View, located in Shawe Heath, Trafford. The stadium has undergone various improvements over the years to meet league requirements, including the installation of floodlights and seating.

Colours and Crest The club's traditional home colours are blue shirts, blue shorts, and blue socks, often featuring white trim. The crest typically incorporates elements representing the borough of Trafford.
