Trương Việt Hoàng (born 9 December 1975 in Hanoi, Vietnam) is a Vietnamese football manager and former professional footballer. He currently serves as an assistant coach of the Vietnam national team.
Playing Career
Trương Việt Hoàng played as a striker (forward). He spent the majority of his playing career with Thể Công (later The Cong-Viettel FC) from 1997 to 2005, and later played for Bình Định from 2006 to 2007. He also represented the Vietnam national team from 1998 to 2002.
Managerial Career
Trương Việt Hoàng began his managerial career with Sài Gòn (2013–2014). He then managed:
- Hải Phòng (2014–2019) — led the club to a runner-up finish in the 2016 V.League 1, finishing level on points (50) with champions Hanoi FC but losing the title on goal difference.
- Viettel (2019–2022) — won the 2020 V.League 1 championship and finished runners-up in the 2020 Vietnamese Cup.
- Hồ Chí Minh City (2022) — appointed head coach in August 2022 but resigned after four matches following a loss to Saigon FC.
- SHB Đà Nẵng (2023–2024) — served as head coach.
- Vietnam national team (2025–present) — appointed as assistant coach.
In 2025, he also took on the role of Technical Director (Giám đốc Kỹ thuật) at Phù Đổng FC, a club competing in the Vietnamese Third Division.
