Tour W is a high-rise office building located in La Défense, the major business district west of Paris, France. Situated in the commune of Puteaux, it is one of the many skyscrapers that define the skyline of La Défense.
Originally constructed in 1973, the tower was known as Tour Winterthur, named after its primary tenant, the Swiss insurance company Winterthur Group. The original design was conceived by architects Luc & Xavier Arsène-Henry.
Between 2012 and 2014, the building underwent a significant renovation and modernization project, which included a complete overhaul of its facade and interior spaces. Following this renovation, the tower was officially renamed Tour W. The renovation was overseen by architect Jean-Jacques Ory.
Tour W stands at a height of approximately 119 meters (390 feet) and comprises 31 floors of office space. It serves as a prominent commercial property within the dense urban environment of La Défense.
