Toribio Rojas Gamboa is a Costa Rican football manager and former professional player. He is most notably recognized for his tenure as the head coach of the Costa Rica national football team during the mid-1990s.
Rojas's professional playing career was primarily based in Costa Rica, where he played as a midfielder and forward for clubs such as A.D. Ramonense. Following his retirement from active play, he transitioned into coaching and management within the Costa Rican football league system.
He was appointed as the head coach of the Costa Rica national team in 1993, succeeding Marvin RodrÃguez. During his leadership, he oversaw the national squad in various international competitions and friendly matches, including the 1995 UNCAF Nations Cup. His tenure as the national team manager concluded in 1995.
In addition to his international role, Rojas has managed several domestic clubs in Costa Rica, including Municipal Puntarenas and A.D. Carmelita. His career is characterized by a long-standing involvement in the development and management of Central American football at both the club and international levels.
