Toni Gorupec (born 4 July 1993) is a Croatian professional footballer who primarily plays as a right-back. He has represented Croatia at various youth international levels and has played for a number of clubs across several European leagues, including those in Croatia, Austria, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Portugal, and the Netherlands.
Early Life and Youth Career
Gorupec began his football career in the youth ranks of Dinamo Zagreb, one of Croatia's most prominent clubs. He progressed through their academy system before moving on to other opportunities to kickstart his professional career.
Club Career
Gorupec's senior career began with NK Lokomotiva Zagreb. After his initial stint there, he moved abroad, joining the reserve team of Austrian club Rapid Wien. He later returned to Lokomotiva before venturing out again to play for HNK Vitez in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
His career trajectory then took him to Italy with Siena, and subsequently to Portugal to play for União da Madeira. In the Netherlands, he featured for Almere City FC. Gorupec has also had multiple spells in the Croatian Prva HNL (First Croatian Football League) with clubs such as NK Istra 1961, NK Rudeš, and HNK Šibenik, among others. His career is characterized by playing experience in diverse football environments and leagues.
International Career
Gorupec has represented Croatia at various youth international levels. He was part of the Croatian U17, U19, and U20 national teams, participating in qualifying campaigns and tournaments. These appearances underscore his early potential and recognition within the Croatian football setup.
