Tomohito Sakai (酒居 知史, Sakai Tomohito; born January 2, 1993, in Hirakata, Osaka Prefecture) is a Japanese professional baseball pitcher for the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB). He previously played for the Chiba Lotte Marines.
Sakai bats and throws right-handed. He made his NPB debut on April 25, 2017, with the Chiba Lotte Marines. On December 19, 2018, he was sent to the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles as compensation for the earlier transfer of Manabu Mima.
As of the 2024 season, his NPB career statistics include a win–loss record of 27–22, an earned run average (ERA) of 3.64, 332 strikeouts, 4 saves, and 108 holds.
