Tommy Cunningham (footballer)

Tommy Cunningham (born 18 December 1961) is a Scottish former professional footballer who played as a central midfielder.

Cunningham began his career with Rangers in 1979, but struggled to break into the first team. He moved to Airdrieonians in 1982, where he enjoyed a successful spell, becoming a key player and appearing in numerous matches. He subsequently joined Hamilton Academical, where he continued to feature regularly. After a period with Hamilton, Cunningham signed for Partick Thistle. He ended his professional career with Clydebank. Following his time in professional football, he played in junior football with Kirkintilloch Rob Roy.
