Tommie Harris

Tommie Harris (born October 5, 1983) is a former American professional football player who played as a defensive tackle in the National Football League (NFL). He is best known for his tenure with the Chicago Bears and the New England Patriots and for being selected to the Pro Bowl twice.

Early life and education
Harris was born in Waco, Texas. He attended Waco High School, where he excelled in football and track and field. He subsequently enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin, playing for the Texas Longhorns football team. While at Texas, Harris contributed to the Longhorns' 2003 BCS National Championship season.

College career
During his collegiate career (2001–2003), Harris was a starting defensive tackle and earned All-Big 12 honors. He recorded significant defensive statistics, including tackles for loss and quarterback pressures, contributing to the Longhorns' dominant defensive front.

Professional career

Chicago Bears (2004–2008)
