Tom Woodruff (born March 27, 1963) is an American actor, makeup artist, and visual effects specialist best known for his work in creature design and performance capture in film and television. He co‑founded the special‑effects company Amalgamated Dynamics (AD) in 1988 with fellow artist Alec Gillis.
Early life and education
Woodruff was born in St. Louis, Missouri. He began training in special‑effects makeup under renowned makeup artist Rick Baker, gaining experience on projects such as An American Werewolf in London (1981).
