Toku Nishio (西尾 徳, Nishio Toku; September 12, 1939 – July 19, 2005) was a Japanese actor and voice actor from Gifu Prefecture, Japan. He was represented by Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society.
He is best known internationally for voicing Mr. Popo in the Dragon Ball franchise (Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, and Dragon Ball GT), as well as Musashi Tomoe in Getter Robo, and Kanichi "Mammoth" Nishi in Ashita no Joe.
Biography
Born Yasunori Nishio in Gifu Prefecture, he was active in the industry from 1970 to 2005. He passed away on July 19, 2005, in Tokyo at the age of 65.
