Tobi Kahn

Tobi Kahn (born 1952) is an American painter and sculptor. His work is characterized by its abstract, often biomorphic forms and its exploration of Jewish spirituality and themes related to memory, place, and ritual.

Kahn's paintings often feature textured surfaces and muted, earthy color palettes. He is known for creating a sense of depth and luminosity in his work, achieved through layering and glazing techniques. His sculptures, often made from wood, explore similar themes and aesthetics.

Kahn's art has been exhibited widely in museums and galleries throughout the United States and internationally. He is the recipient of numerous awards and grants, and his work is included in the permanent collections of many prominent institutions.
