Tiszaújvárosi Sportpark

Tiszaújvárosi Sportpark is a multi-use sports complex and stadium located in Tiszaújváros, Hungary. It is used primarily for football matches and serves as the home ground of FC Tiszaújváros. The complex is operated by Tiszaújvárosi Sport-Park Nonprofit Kft.

History

The stadium was originally opened in 1968 under the name Olefin Sporttelep. In 1998, the broader Sportcentrum (Sport Center) complex was inaugurated, expanding the facility into a comprehensive sports hub.

Location and Facilities

The complex is situated at Teleki Blanka út 6, 3580 Tiszaújváros, Hungary. Coordinates: 47°55′48.8″N 21°03′04.4″E.

The Sportpark includes a wide range of facilities:

  • Football and Athletics Stadium: A center pitch with a 2,000-seat covered grandstand, a 400 m rekortan running track, and facilities for high jump, throwing events, and long jump.
  • Football Pitches: In addition to the main stadium, there are 3 grass pitches and 3 artificial turf pitches (including a 104×68 m full-size pitch, a 40×20 m pitch, and a children's pitch).
  • Játékcsarnok (Game Hall): A 48×25 m indoor hall with parquet flooring and a 1,200-seat spectator stand, used for sports and cultural events.
  • Edzőterem (Training Hall): A 45×23 m indoor training hall with sports flooring.
  • Swimming Pool: A 25-meter, 6-lane pool with a depth of 1.8 m, accompanied by a Finnish sauna, infrared sauna, and plunge pool.
  • Tennis Facilities: 6 outdoor clay courts and 2 indoor clay courts.
  • Table Tennis Hall: A dedicated hall for table tennis.
  • Weightlifting Hall: A competition-grade weightlifting venue.
  • Outdoor Fitness Park: A 60 m² outdoor gym with 15 exercise stations.
  • Streetball Court: An outdoor basketball court.
  • Skatepark and Rollerblade Rink: An extreme sports area with 7 built-in elements.
  • Beach Football and Beach Volleyball Courts: Seasonal outdoor sand courts.
  • Kajak-kenu tanmedence (Canoe-Kayak Training Pool): A 35 m² water surface training pool.
  • Tiszaszederkényi Gymnasium: A 24×14 m indoor hall primarily for ball sports.
  • Deák téri uszoda: A 25-meter, 3-lane swimming pool used for swimming education.
  • Mezítlábas sétány (Barefoot Trail): A sensory trail with 12 different walking surfaces.

Capacity

The main stadium has a seated capacity of 4,000. The field dimensions are 104 m × 68 m, with a natural grass surface.

Tenants

The primary tenant is FC Tiszaújváros, which has used the facility since its opening in 1968.

Management

The complex is managed by Tiszaújvárosi Sport-Park Nonprofit Közhasznú Kft., a non-profit public benefit company.
