Tine Sundtoft

Tine Sundtoft (born April 19, 1967) is a Norwegian politician representing the Conservative Party (Høyre). She is most recognized for her service as the Minister of Climate and the Environment in the cabinet of Prime Minister Erna Solberg.

Sundtoft held her ministerial position from October 16, 2013, until December 16, 2015. During her tenure, she played a role in Norway's involvement in international climate negotiations, including the preparatory stages for the 2015 United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP 21) in Paris. She was succeeded in this post by Vidar Helgesen.

Prior to her appointment as a cabinet minister, Sundtoft had an extensive career in public administration and regional politics. She served as the County Director (fylkesrådmann) of Aust-Agder from 2005 to 2013, becoming the first woman to hold that position. Following her departure from the Ministry of Climate and the Environment, she returned to her role as County Director in Aust-Agder and later served as the project manager for the merger of Aust-Agder and Vest-Agder into the single county of Agder.

Her political background also includes serving as a deputy representative to the Storting (the Norwegian parliament) for Vest-Agder during the 1989–1993 term. Additionally, she has held leadership roles within the Norwegian Confederation of Business and Industry (NHO) at the regional level.
