Tim Brauch (1974–1999) was an American professional skateboarder recognized for his contributions to the sport during the 1990s. Born on April 26, 1974, in San Jose, California, Brauch became a prominent figure in the skateboarding community, known for a versatile riding style that encompassed both street and transition skating.
Throughout his career, Brauch was associated with several major industry brands. He was a long-time professional rider for Santa Cruz Skateboards and received sponsorship from companies such as Sessions and Etnies. In 1998, he achieved a significant competitive milestone by winning the park event at the Vans Triple Crown of Skateboarding.
Brauch died on May 9, 1999, at the age of 25, due to sudden cardiac arrest. Following his death, he has been memorialized within the skateboarding industry and his local community. The Tim Brauch Memorial Skatepark was established in Scotts Valley, California, and the annual Tim Brauch Memorial Contest was created to honor his legacy and support youth involvement in the sport.
