General Description
Thelazia is a genus of parasitic nematodes commonly referred to as “eye worms.” Adult worms are slender, filiform, and typically range from 5 mm to 20 mm in length, depending on the species. They inhabit the conjunctival sac, lacrimal ducts, and sometimes the cornea of a variety of mammalian hosts.
