The Varukers are an English hardcore punk band formed in Bristol in 1979. They are known for their aggressive musical style, incorporating elements of anarcho-punk and street punk, and for their association with the independent record label Corpus Christi Records.
History
The group was founded by vocalist and guitarist Gary "Gash" Anderson, bassist Phil "Filthy" Thomas, and drummer Pete "The Beast" Moore. Their early releases appeared on the Bristol-based label Crass Records, most notably the debut EP Killing (1982). Over the following decades, The Varukers underwent multiple line‑up changes, with Anderson remaining the sole constant member.
