Background
The song was created in collaboration with Thorpe Park, a theme park in the United Kingdom, to serve as the official single for the launch of the park's roller coaster also named "The Swarm." It was promoted as the world's first roller coaster single. The song was released to iTunes on 18 March 2012, a few days after the coaster's opening.
