The Night of Decision (1938 film)

The Night of Decision is a 1938 British drama film directed by Raoul Walsh and starring Donald Woods, Rosemary Lane, and Arthur Wontner. The film is based on the play The Sleeping Queen by Matthias Volklein.

The plot revolves around a young American reporter, Jimmy Turner (played by Donald Woods), who is sent to a small European kingdom to cover the coronation of a new king. He becomes entangled in a political conspiracy involving a princess (Rosemary Lane) who is being forced into an arranged marriage with a villainous prime minister. Jimmy falls in love with the princess and attempts to help her escape the forced marriage and expose the prime minister's machinations. Arthur Wontner portrays a key character who aids Jimmy in his efforts.

The film is a lighthearted romantic drama with elements of political intrigue and comedy.
