The Night Safari

The Night Safari is a wildlife park located in Singapore that opened on 26 May 1994. It is situated adjacent to the Singapore Zoo and within the Mandai Wildlife Reserve. Designed specifically for nocturnal animal exhibits, the park allows visitors to observe over 2,500 animals representing more than 130 species in a naturalistic night-time environment. The park spans approximately 35 hectares and uses dim red and green lighting to simulate moonlight, minimizing disruption to the animals' nocturnal behaviors.

Visitors experience the Night Safari through a 35-minute guided tram ride that traverses various geographical zones, including the Himalayan Foothills, Indian Subcontinent, and Southeast Asian Rainforest. In addition to the tram tour, the park features walking trails, such as the Fragrant Trail and the Leopard Trail, as well as a stage show called the "Creatures of the Night" that highlights animal behaviors and conservation messages.

The Night Safari is managed by Wildlife Reserves Singapore (WRS), now known as Mandai Wildlife Group, and integrates conservation, education, and recreation. It has received international recognition for its approach to nocturnal wildlife presentation and sustainable tourism practices.

Accurate information is not confirmed regarding any other facilities or concepts bearing the exact name "The Night Safari" outside of Singapore.
