Thái Quang Hoàng (c. 1920 – 22 February 1993) was a lieutenant general in the Army of the Republic of Vietnam (ARVN). Born in Vinh, Vietnam, he entered the French‑run military academies and later served in the French‑Vietnamese forces during the First Indochina War.
In the early years of the Republic of Vietnam, Hoàng was appointed the first commander of III Corps, the military region responsible for the area surrounding the capital Saigon. He held this command from 1 March 1959 until 11 October 1959, when he was succeeded by Lieutenant General Nguyễn Ngọc Lê.
Following the fall of Saigon in 1975, Hoàng emigrated to the United States, settling in Arlington, Virginia. He pursued a second career as a self‑taught goldsmith and worked in a family jewelry business. Hoàng died of cancer on 22 February 1993 at the age of 73.
