The name "Tekkeışıklar" is a compound of two Turkish words: "tekke," referring to a dervish lodge or Sufi convent, and "ışıklar," meaning "lights" or, in some contexts, a plural form of "ışık" (light). The name may reflect historical settlement patterns associated with a Sufi lodge in the area, though specific historical documentation of the name's origin is limited.
