Tegula corteziana is a species of sea snail, a marine gastropod mollusk in the family Tegulidae.
Taxonomy
The species was described by J. H. McLean in 1970. It belongs to the genus Tegula within the family Tegulidae. Some taxonomic sources now consider the accepted name to be Agathistoma cortezianum (J. H. McLean, 1970), with Tegula corteziana treated as a superseded combination. A synonym is Tegula (Agathistoma) corteziana.
Description
The shell of Tegula corteziana is approximately 10.5 mm in length, with a diameter of about 12.4 mm.
Distribution
This species is found in the Pacific Ocean off the coast of Mexico.
