Ted Savage (born February 21, 1936) is a former American professional baseball outfielder and coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) from 1962 to 1971 for the Philadelphia Phillies, Milwaukee Braves, Cincinnati Reds, St. Louis Cardinals, Los Angeles Dodgers, Chicago White Sox, and Kansas City Royals.
Savage began his professional baseball career in 1954 in the Phillies' farm system. He debuted in the major leagues with the Phillies in 1962. A versatile player, Savage was known for his ability to play multiple outfield positions and contribute as a pinch-hitter. He was part of the St. Louis Cardinals team that won the 1967 World Series, although he did not play in the series.
Following his playing career, Savage served as a coach for several MLB teams, including the St. Louis Cardinals. He was a respected hitting instructor and mentor to numerous players. He is also known for his involvement in baseball development programs and his commitment to promoting the sport.
