Team Farm Frites–Hartol

Overview
Team Farm Frites–Hartol was a professional women's road cycling team registered in the Netherlands. The team competed in international events under the sponsorship of Farm Frites, a Belgian producer of potato-based snack foods, and Hartol, a Dutch manufacturer of kitchen equipment. It operated primarily in the early 2000s and was recognized by the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) as a women's road team.

History
The team was established in 2000 and remained active until the end of the 2004 season. Throughout its existence, Team Farm Frites–Hartol fielded a roster of Dutch and international riders and participated in the UCI Women's Road World Cup, as well as a variety of stage races and one‑day classics throughout Europe.

Sponsorship

  • Farm Frites – a major European brand specializing in frozen potato products, particularly French fries.
  • Hartol – a Dutch company supplying professional kitchen equipment and appliances.

Both sponsors provided financial backing and branding, resulting in the team’s official name incorporating both corporate identities.

Notable Riders
While the exact composition of the roster varied from season to season, the team included several riders who achieved national and international results during the period, such as:

  • Dutch cyclists who held national championship titles or placed on the podium in UCI events.
  • International riders who later transferred to other UCI women's teams.

Competitive Achievements
Team Farm Frites–Hartol secured a number of victories and podium finishes in UCI‑sanctioned races, including:

  • Stage wins in multi‑day stage races.
  • Top‑10 finishes in World Cup one‑day events.
  • National championship titles for team members in road or time‑trial disciplines.

These results contributed to the team’s reputation as a competitive presence in women's professional cycling during its operational years.

Disbandment
At the conclusion of the 2004 season, the sponsorship arrangement with Farm Frites and Hartol ended, and the team was dissolved. Many of its riders subsequently joined other professional women’s teams, continuing their careers in the sport.

Legacy
Team Farm Frites–Hartol is remembered for its role in fostering Dutch women's cycling talent and for promoting the involvement of commercial sponsors in women's professional road cycling during the early 2000s.
