The Tangente River is a short watercourse in the province of Quebec, Canada. It is a tributary of the Wawagosic River and lies within the municipality of Eeyou Istchee Baie‑James in the Nord‑du‑Québec administrative region.

- Source: The river originates at the outlet of Wawagosic Lake, situated at an elevation of 278 m (912 ft) above sea level (coordinates 49°19′58″ N, 78°41′07″ W).
- Course: Flowing entirely through forested terrain in the township of Bacon, the Tangente River travels a total length of approximately 6.6 km (4.1 mi). Its path proceeds southwest, receiving a minor tributary from the northwest after about 3 km, and continues for a further 3.6 km before reaching its mouth.
- Mouth: The river discharges into a bend of the Wawagosic River at an elevation of 271 m (889 ft) (coordinates 49°18′08″ N, 78°44′31″ W).

The Tangente River is part of the Harricana River basin.
